DePaul University Libraries
FAQ
What is I-Share? Which libraries participate?

I-Share is a group of more than 70 Illinois libraries that share a catalog and allow their patrons to request books online from one another's collections. If DePaul does not own a book or if our copy is unavailable, requesting the I-Share copy is the quickest way to request it. (If I-Share doesn't have the book, try ILLiad.) You may request I-Share items using DePaul WorldCat Local anytime you see the "Borrow via I-Share" button for an item.  The first time you request an item through I-Share, you will need to create an account - check out our guide to completing this quick, one-time process.

You can also borrow directly from any I-Share library in person.*  View a map of Chicagoland I-Share libraries.

*The Newberry Library is one exception in that none of its material may be requested or otherwise borrowed.
