Maker Hub

About

The Maker Hub is a new, experimental and creative space intended to connect DePaul researchers, makers, and entrepreneurs from across campus and beyond with specialized equipment and a collaborative atmosphere for design and innovation. 

Those interested in using the Maker Hub's equipment may do so by dropping in during open hours, listed to the right. Hours vary by quarter and are subject to change. Faculty and staff may also request to reserve the Maker Hub as a classroom or workshop space. Upon making a Maker Hub reservation, you will be contacted by an administrator regarding safety and access procedures.

Access & Use

Persons using the Maker Hub are required to fill out the Access Agreement and appropriate Activity Waiver forms.

Maker Hub Equipment Inventory

The Maker Hub is equipped with the following:


3D Printing
  • Ultimaker 2 Extended +
  • Ultimaker 3 Extended (currently unavailable)
  • Formlabs Form 2
  • PLA filament for Ultimaker printers (color choice may vary)
  • Formlabs Resin (white and clear only)
Vinyl Cutting
  • Roland GS-24 Vinyl Cutter (Adhesive sheets of vinyl available; color choice may vary)
Sewing
  • Husqvarna Opal 650 Sewing Machine (Thread/fabric scrap available, recommended to bring your own)
Laser Cutting
  • ​Glowforge Laser Cutter (estimated arrival September 2018)​
Miscellaneous
  • Label maker
  • Record player​
