Holly Cerney is the Business and Social Sciences Librarian at DePaul’s Loop Campus Library. Holly has been at DePaul for almost two decades, serving part-time as a reference and instruction librarian, in inter-library loan, and as the interim Manager of Academic Integrity. In her current role, Holly is the new liaison for the Theatre School, The School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and the School of Public Service. Instruction, reference, departmental engagement, and library outreach are key aspects of her position.
Holly also served as a librarian at the LCC Reading Room at Harper College Library's Prospect Heights location. She is a member of American Library Association (ALA) and the Association for College and Research Libraries (ACRL). She has taught extensively in WRD 104/HON 100 programmatic instruction both in-person and online. As a professional actor in Chicago Storefront theatres since the early 2000’s, she has, and continues to have, the honor of working with many talented artists and non-profits throughout the area. Holly has been a principal actor and company member at Trap Door Theatre since 2004 and held the position as their Grant Manager for nine years.
Originally from Eagle River Alaska, she enjoys activities with a frontier focus and considers herself an avid crafter.
