Jennifer Schwartz is the Assessment Librarian and a Humanities and Social Sciences Liaison at DePaul University’s John T. Richardson Library, where she oversees the collection, analysis, and reporting of data that guide strategic planning and decision-making. Alongside her assessment work, she provides research and instruction support for faculty and students in several departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and supervises a team of Peer Research Tutors. With more than two decades of experience in academic libraries, she has developed expertise in teaching, reference services, collection development, and student learning assessment—always with a focus on strengthening library services through collaboration and evidence-based practice.

Her scholarship and professional contributions center on assessment, instruction, and student experiences with library collections and services. She has published in College & Research Libraries and College & Research Libraries News and has presented at national and regional conferences, including ACRL and the Illinois Information Literacy Summit. Jennifer holds an MLIS from Pratt Institute, an MA in Medieval and Jewish History from The Ohio State University, and a BA in History and French from the University of Delaware. She has also been active in professional service through ACRL and other library associations, and remains committed to fostering information literacy, student success, and inclusive learning environments.
