DePaul University Library contains collections of books and other materials that are shelved separately from books in the stacks. Collections may be located at the John T. Richardson Library (JTR) and/or the Loop Library.

Curriculum Materials Collection
(JTR, 2nd floor) Contains textbooks, children's and young adult literature, and activity books for use in building lesson plans and curriculum units.

Music Scores & Recordings
(JTR, 2nd and 4th floors) Recordings (CDs and LP vinyl records) of both classical and popular music are located on the 2nd floor. Scores are located on the 4th floor.
Reference Books
(JTR, 2nd floor; Loop, near Research Help Desk) Includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, citation manuals, and more.
(JTR, 3rd floor) Holds rich primary source materials, maps, and rare and specialized books on the local community, DePaul University, and Vincentian history.
(JTR, 1st floor Haber Lounge; Loop) Popular reading, bestsellers, fiction, non-fiction, and more.
