Resources for Alumni and Visitors

Alumni

DePaul alumni may visit, and borrow materials with a DePaul Alumni ID card.

To access the Loop Library, one of the following types of ID is required: a valid DePaul ID, a DePaul Alumni ID, or a college/university, high school, or government-issued ID.

After 9:00 p.m., access to the John T. Richardson Library is limited to current DePaul University students, faculty, and staff.

Alumni can obtain an access code to use the wireless network on campus by visiting the Office of Alumni Relations in the Loop, calling 773-325-8390 or emailing dpalumni@depaul.edu during normal business hours. Public kiosk computers are also available to access online library resources.

The library cannot provide DePaul alumni with off-campus access to the library's subscription databases due to license restrictions. However, most licensed content is available to users who visit the physical library on campus, with some exceptions.

Visitors

Visitors who are on campus as the invited guest(s) of a DePaul faculty or staff member can request temporary access to the wireless network via the faculty/staff sponsor process; library staff cannot provide guest access.
