Friends of DePaul Library Access

The DePaul University Library may grant library privileges to certain Friend of DePaul accounts upon request. This includes access for visiting scholars, visiting faculty, and others who demonstrate a research need.

Two types of access are available:

  1. Library borrowing privileges. This includes checking out books, equipment and other materials from Richardson or Loop libraries, the I-Share consortium, or submitting interlibrary loan requests for books or articles.
  2. Off-campus access to library databases. This includes the majority--but not all--of DPU Library-licensed resources. Some resources (such as the HathiTrust Digital Library) strictly require a user to be mapped to a student, faculty, or staff affiliation in order to grant access.

To request library access, please fill out and submit the form below:

Library privileges for Friend of DePaul accounts are granted for DePaul University-related research only. Use for personal or outside business is strictly prohibited and may result in a loss of privileges.
